Pumpkin Decoration Competition – October 2025
Get Spooky, Get Creative, and Join the Fun!

Autumn has arrived, and with it comes the return of our popular Pumpkin Decoration Competition, hosted by Albrighton and Donington Parish Council. This seasonal event is a fantastic opportunity for residents of all ages to get involved, show off their creativity, and help bring some festive fun to the community.

Whether you prefer to carve, paint, or dress up your pumpkin, the design is entirely up to you. From spooky faces to artistic masterpieces, every entry is welcome.

How to Enter

Taking part is simple:

  • Collect an entry form from the Parish Council Office or the Library.

  • Alternatively, you can download an entry form at the bottom of the Parish Council website to fill in and submit.

  • Return your completed form to the Council Office by Wednesday 15th October 2025 at 4:30pm.

  • Display your decorated pumpkin by Wednesday 29th October 2025 at 9:00am.

Our judges will visit each participating property around this date to view and score the entries.

Competition Categories

Entries will be judged within the following categories:

  • Age 11 and under

  • Age 12–18

  • Adults

  • Traders (Local Businesses)

This means everyone in the community can take part – from young children to local shop owners.

Prizes

Gift cards will be awarded to the top three entries in each category:

  • 1st Place – £20.00

  • 2nd Place – £10.00

  • 3rd Place – £5.00

Each winning pumpkin will be chosen based on creativity, effort, and overall presentation.

Key Dates

  • Entry Form Deadline: Wednesday 15th October 2025, 4:30pm

  • Pumpkin Display Deadline: Wednesday 29th October 2025, 9:00am

Be sure to have your pumpkin ready and on display by the deadline so the judges don’t miss your masterpiece.
