Shropshire Council have implemented a subscription for Garden Waste Collections throughout Shropshire. Households will need to subscribe to the service which will cost £56 a year, regardless of when you subscribe. Subscriptions open 1st September 2024 and close 31st March 2025. Garden Waste collections will be suspended from 1st October 2024 for those who don’t subscribe. Food Waste collections will be suspended as Council’s can’t legally charge for this service; they will implement a new food waste collection by 1st April 2026.

Leaflets with information on this will be distributed to households from today, Tuesday 3rd September 2024
